Cross Country skiing is great fun for the kids. And it is great coordination training as well.
But it is very important that the kids use the right equipment, and the right ski length.
As a thumbrule, we use to say: Kids should never use to long skis. Using to short skis is actually better. But the best thing is well-fitted skis! Use the Kids Ski Length Chart below to determine the correct ski length...
How to Determine Classic Ski Length?
Body height is used to determine kids' correct ski length. Place your kid with his/her back against a wall and his/her feet together, looking staight forward. Place a book or a ruler on the top of the head and push it against the wall (make sure it is hoizontal). Measure distance from the floor and up to the book/ruler, etc.
