Dress Size Chart, UK

Determine your UK dress size with our UK dress size chart
Most women love dresses! But make sure they fit well - bad fitting dresses are not comfortable wearing, and they don´t look good either. Let us help you find your right dress size...

How to Measure Dress Size?

To find your US dress size, you need to measure your Waist, Hips (Seat) and Bust. But don´t worry, measuring is easy. See illustration and guide below.

Determine dress size from body measurements

Bust: Measure circumference around the bust at the fullest part. Use a flexible measuring tape, and keep it parallel with the floor.

Waist: Measure your body around your natural waistline. Your waistline is usually just above your belly button (narrowest part of torso). Not sure where you waistline is? Stand in front of a mirror, and bend to one side. Your waistline is simply where you can see a natural indentation in torso on this side.

Hips (seat):
Measure circumference around your hips (seat) at the fullest part.

Dress Length

What about dress length? There are several different standard dress length styles, which all are suitable for different occasions. See our Dress Length Guide to learn more about dress length, and see how different dress lengths look (illustrated).

Petite/Tall Size Chart

Dress length is 'standard' or 'regular' if the size label doesn't say anything else.  Standard/regular length is the right choice for women with body height between 160 and 175 cm. For shorter or taller women, sizes "petite" or "tall" are recommended. See Petite/tall chart below for more information:

< 160 cm Petite (Short) Dresses are 2-5 inches shorter in length (usually 2 inches for short dresses (minis) and 3-5 inches for long dresses)
160-175 cm Regular/Standard
> 175 cm Tall (Long) Dresses are 4-7 inches longer (usually 4 inches for short dresses (minis) and 5-7 inches for long dresses)
